DareData at Data Makers Fest 2024: A Celebration of Innovation and Networking

Data Makers Fest 2024 was a hit, and we were thrilled to be a part of it! Held in the vibrant city of Porto, the event brought together data enthusiasts from all walks of life, creating a dynamic environment of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

DareData’s own Nuno Brás took the stage with his presentation on “Performance of Generative Systems – A Data Science Approach.” In his talk, Nuno highlighted how foundational data science and engineering principles remain at the core of today’s generative systems, emphasising the importance of building AI systems that are not only cutting-edge but also reliable and trustworthy. He stressed the critical role of data science in preparing for a future where AI must operate as seamlessly and reliably as human partners.

Beyond the inspiring talks, networking was a key part of the event. The DareData team connected with many brilliant minds, exchanging ideas with the innovators who are driving the future of data science and AI.

Our team was well-represented at the event, with Pedro Pereira, Vítor Bernardes, Gonçalo Peixoto, Fábio Cruz, Gustavo Fonseca, Sofia Pessoa de Amorim, Nuno Heli Beires, Constança Rodrigues, Ivo Bernardo, and Rui Miguel Figueiredo all joining Nuno in Porto to engage with the community.
